When does the membership year run?
Your membership begins the day you join . We bill every 28 days (13 cycles per year). Each rolling 12-month period (13 cycles) funds your included return and your year-round support.
Which tax return is included in my membership?
Your membership includes the personal tax return for the tax year that ends within your 12-month membership period .
  • For most calendar-year taxpayers: the return for that calendar year, filed the following filing season.
  • For fiscal-year businesses: your personal 1040 is included; business/entity returns (1120S/1065/1120) are scoped separately.
What happens if I join mid-year?
No need to wait — we onboard right away and start your 28-day billing cadence from your join date. If you need us to complete a return or significant catch-up work for a period before your membership start, we’ll quote a one-time, fixed-fee setup/catch-up so your records are current and your included return is fully supported.
How are prior-year returns handled?
Returns for tax years that fall outside your current 12-month membership period (e.g., older years) are billed separately as a one-time project. We’ll scope and price that work during your discovery/onboarding.
What’s included with the Basic Membership?
Preparation and e-filing of your individual tax return (Form 1040) with included schedules per your plan, secure portal document exchange, CPA review, and year-round portal access for reasonable Q&A.
What’s included in the Early Retainer Program?
Audit protection for the return we prepare, including IRS/state correspondence and representation related to that return, excluding issues caused by missing or inaccurate client-provided information.
What’s included in the Peace of Mind Bundle?
Everything in Early Retainer, plus:

How do I schedule my planning or review sessions?
We’ll email you when it’s time to meet. You can self-schedule via our online calendar. Sessions are by appointment and do not roll over if unused.
Where do I upload documents?
All document exchange takes place in our Qount secure client portal . E-signature is used for authorizations and e-filing forms. Your private documents are never stored in the Member Resource Center.
Is the service fully virtual?
Yes. We’re a CPA-led, 50-state virtual practice. Meetings are conducted via video, and you’ll have secure portal access for documents and messaging. In-person availability can be arranged by appointment.
