Individual Membership FAQ
Got questions about how our individual tax membership works? You're in the right place. Below you’ll find detailed answers about pricing, what's included, billing, upgrades, and how to get started.
Membership Options
What are the membership options?
We offer three tiers:
• Basic Membership
– starts at $45/month
• Early Retainer Program
– adds $30/month for audit defense
• Peace of Mind Bundle
– adds $52/month and includes the Early Retainer, mid-year planning, transcript monitoring, IRS notice response, and quick question calls.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes, you can upgrade to the Early Retainer or Peace of Mind Bundle at any time. Your monthly rate will adjust accordingly moving forward.
Billing & Commitment
How long is the commitment?
All memberships require a 12-month minimum. After your first year, you may cancel anytime with 30 days’ written notice.
Do I pay monthly or annually?
All tiers are billed monthly. Even the audit protection and planning bundles are broken into easy monthly installments.
What if I sign up during tax season?
If you join before your return is filed, we’ll prepare your return as part of the membership—but your payments still continue through the 12-month cycle. You’re not paying for a one-time filing—you’re investing in year-round CPA support.
What’s Included & Who It’s For
What’s included in the Basic Membership?
Federal and state tax return prep, CPA review, e-filing, portal access, and support for common forms like W-2s, dependents, student loan interest, and standard deductions.
What counts as a “complex return”?
Rental income (Schedule E), self-employment or 1099s (Schedule C), K-1s, or multi-state returns typically increase your monthly rate slightly. We’ll confirm during intake.
Is tax planning included?
Only in the Peace of Mind Bundle. That includes a mid-year CPA session to adjust withholding, reduce surprises, and plan smarter.
Who is this membership designed for?
W-2 earners, retirees, gig workers, 1099 contractors, real estate investors, and solo business owners who want reliable CPA support—not a once-a-year filing service.
